I'd Really Rather just be in Peace with Everyone

.... and wish for their happiness.... but still....

“ A man who wants to make a relationship work will move mountains to keep the woman he loves. If he’s not calling you to tell you he loves you and wants you back, it should only be because he’s showing up at your new residence to do it in person. If he’s not doing any of that, he may love you, he may miss you, but ultimately he’s just not that into you. Stop taking his calls and let him know what it’s like to live without you. ”

“ In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you. The right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That’s the kind of person worth sticking with. ”
— Juno

“ That’s what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is. Most people love you for who you pretend to be. To keep their love, you keep pretending, performing. You get to love your pretense. It’s true, we’re locked in an image, an act. ”
— Jim Morrison

“ Sometimes you have to be strong for yourself. You have to know that you are a good person and a good friend. What is meant to be will end up good and what is not won’t. Relationships are worth fighting for, but sometimes you can’t be the only one fighting. At times, people need to fight for you. If they don’t, you must move on and realize what you gave them was more than they were willing to give you. Hopefully, people realize great things when they come around and don’t lose something real. Always fight, until you can’t anymore, and then be fought for. ”

Sometimes, I get scared to be the person who I really am... I think that they're all talking about me, giving me those stares, wondering WTH I'm doing around here. But just.... it's tiring to be someone you think they will accept and I'll just let loose and become myself all over again. If they don't like it, they'll go away... and then you'll know who will stick.

On the other hand, sometimes you just get too fed up with a person, a friend. But overtime, you realise that's just on a short-term basis. It may last for only a few days. You realise if you love your friend, you'll just understand them, overlook their flaws, tolerate the bad stuff, because that's what makes them so quirky and memorable. You may want just leave that friend and keep silence just to test them (I know...such a primary school thing), but then, you can't help coming back to your friend. Because you simply, love them.

And then there are those few and far in between, those that are not worth keeping at all... no matter how many chances you gave them, they just didn't measure up. And you just know. So be stupid, and listen to your heart. Says Gap. I think.

Dear Sade,

No matter how many failed planned meetups, I'll still try my best to make it you know... love you :) And you look happy with your colleagues too!

HAPPINESS & CAREFREE-ITY :)

Dear Fadilah,
I'm glad I just went ahead with going anyway. The shopping experience was lovely... the power of motherly wise salespersons cannot be taken for granted. They are the ones with the magic to draw money from my wallet. Love you very much. Let's still continue to grow old together anyways. I'll support you no matter which career path you go.

Nikita. She reminded me of what it felt like to be nonsensical and not care about what you look like. Something I learnt in Cedar. The people you love will still love you back. No matter what. No pressure.

Life has been nice lately... just need to check a few things off the checklist. :)
